BURLEIGH HEADS 24th July 2015

After brekky went for a walk along to Burleigh Heads.  The weather has changed, no wind and the sun was out and it was really quite humid. We had no rain today at all. Got into our shorts after a couple of cool days.

When we got to the heads just sat there on the bank and watched the surfers. Great spot for them very popular.

Looking from the Heads along Burleigh Beach up the coast.

While we were sitting there Damian came along out for a run with his dog  Oscar. Lovely friendly chap.

Walked back along the beach walkways straight to Damians to see his house. Peter and Oscar getting to know each other.
Damian has worked so hard on doing his house up making a great reception room for his wife Mel who works from home as a chiropractor.  She worked on me today and I felt a lot better with her treatment. She does so much more than any Chiro I have been to.

This is the new kitchen really nice. Damian at the sink Viv at the frig.

Dining table off the kitchen flowing into the lounge. Kitchen is on the left.

Damian and Mels little boy Jack. Gets a bit confusing sometimes as they call him Jackie which always makes me look.

Mariners Cove, Southport  just North of Surfers. We went for a drive after lunch up to Southport to check out when the prawn boats come in bringing the prawns in straight from the sea to the customer and cooked too. Couldn't be fresher than that. We will be up there 9.00am Sunday morning to try them. They will be much better than the ones we had the other day as they didn't have that fresh straight out of the sea taste.

We then headed back through Surfers just to see it  but nothing seems different from when we were there many years ago with Dave and Jen and they were only eleven and nine. the above apartments  the Equinox was where we stayed on that holiday.

In the centre of Surfers Paradise looking north along the groomed beach. Above and below.

When we got back to Viv and Ron's Damian had come over with the kids as Mel was working. Above Jack, always smiling

From their balcony looking far right you can see Burleigh Heads in the distance where we walked to this morning and sat on the heads watching the surfers.
